Dr. Jose Luis Burgos

Dr. Jose Burgos 

Dr. Jose Luis Burgos is a physician trained in preventive medicine, clinical epidemiology, and health economics. Dr. Burgos earned his M.D. degree at Universidad Autónoma de Baja California and a Master’s in Public Health at the School of Public Health at Universidad Autónoma de Baja California and San Diego State University through the UCSD-SDSU-UABC TIES exchanges funded by the United States Agency for International Development. Dr. Burgos has studied infectious disease since 2002 and completed graduate courses on economic evaluation at UCSF. Dr. Burgos currently specializes in global health and development with emphasis on cost effectiveness analysis of HIV and Tuberculosis intervention programs in resource limited settings. Dr. Burgos has recently joined the Faculty of the Division of Global Public Health from the Department of Medicine at UCSD.
