Jasmine Uysal, MPH

 

Jasmine Uysal, MPH is a Research Project Coordinator for the Center on Gender Equity and Health, in the Division of Global Public Health at UCSD. She is responsible for coordinating Dr. Jay Silverman’s research projects related to reproductive coercion (RC) and intimate partner violence (IPV). Currently, she assists on the pilot project Addressing Reproductive Coercion in Health Settings (ARCHES) Kenya, an evidence-based intervention developed by Dr. Silverman to prevent RC and IPV that is being piloted and adapted for the Low and Middle Income Country (LMIC) in Nairobi.

Jasmine has experience working domestically and internationally on a variety of community research projects related to sexual and reproductive health, human resources for health, capacity of health systems, and maternal and child health. She is currently developing several manuscripts from her findings. Her research interests focus largely on global sexual and reproductive health including the prevention of gender based violence in sub-Saharan Africa.
